Viva Stam-Vegas!

Okay, so it isn’t the meat packing district. But there is plenty to keep you fed, hydrated and interested in the Stamford area. In North Stamford you have mainstays like Madonia, The Long Ridge Tavern and of course the iconic Lakeside Diner (best donuts in the world!). But you can step just outside the neighborhood (or check the links below) to find out about some of the eats, drinks, buys and culture on the area.

RESTAURANTS

There are no shortage of great eats in and around Stamford. Stamford holds its own but with the towns of New Canaan, Greenwich, Westport and Darien just minutes away you can definitely find what you are hankering for (and many now offer delivery or curbside pickup).

NIGHTLIFE

It may still be a while until we are able to raise our glasses together, but when we do we will no doubt have a hard time deciding where to go. So fear not! There are some great options waiting for your return and many have been able to keep busy with take out & delivery meals or safe outside seating. Here are some places to check out when the dust settles.

MUSIC & ENTERTAINMENT

Music? Arts? There are plenty of great venues and (under normal circumstances) opportunities to see live music. From Stamford’s own Alive @ Five summer concert series to the Palace Theater to the semi-regular divey open-mike night at Fidler’s Green, there is something for everyone’s cultural needs and wants in the Stamford area.

SHOPPING

Eager to shake off your Amazon cob webs? There are plenty of shopping opportunities in the area. Choose from a stroll down tony Greenwich Avenue, two nearby luxury mega-malls in Norwalk and White Plains, or the stalwart Stamford Town Center. Each town has their own shopping district and Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods and multiple Farmer’s Markets surround you.
